Six Feet Under - I still am not worthy.
Six Feet Under

I don't even know how I end up having these late night moments. Robot Chicken was airing in the background and this particular episode ended with a parody of the series' ending.

Now before I proceed I must strongly suggest that you stop reading if you have never seen this show before. If you somehow missed this slice of perfection I implore you to go find yourself the collected episodes and watch all of it. It won't take long.

However if you have already watched this devastatingly brilliant show then by all means join me in revisiting one of the most haunting moments on television.

Currently Watching - Skins Series 3
Skins Series 3

God I have been looking forward to this for a while, but that said I knew what to expect; This season was not going to be quite as interesting as the previous two.

I was right.

This new season introduces a mostly new cast entering a British "College" (or the equivalent of high school anyways) on essentially the first day of school. That is about the extent of the plot development. I'm not even going to detail the cast because individually they weren't all that interesting, save Pandora who I saw bits of myself in; awkward, a bit of a daydreamer and the persistent feeling that I would rather be somewhere else. She's a leftover from the previous series and although I found here annoying then, but I found her pretty charming in the premier.

I'm curious to see where the plot goes even though judging by the season preview at the end of the episode much of it is really predictable. We had Tony and Sid fighting over the girl previously, now we have the three Musketeers who are enamored with and similarly will probably end up fighting over Effy, Tony's mostly uninteresting self involved younger sister. On the periphery we have a lesbian (?), polar opposite twins and a yet un-introduced black kid. Cue drama.

Yeah I can't even write enthusiastically about this. It was basically a more stylish looking Degrassi with more vulgarity. The very young cast get to do some risque things in this series and I look forward to seeing it all play out. I just don't know if I appreciate the boundary pushing with nudity this time around because the cast is young.

It is still miles above anything you'd find on television here though. I just hope the brilliantly written stories of the previous season isn't lost to its trendy teens-gone-wild veneer.

Currently Viewing - Damages
Damages

FX is now home to two shows I am seriously getting a kick out of watching. The first was Nip Tuck, which is back on air after a mid season hiatus due to the writers strike. Now the other is Damages.

Wait What?
Super Metroid.

I just woke up from a bizarre dream. In it I moved to a Chicago McMansion, marveled at all the super large rooms and the jacuzzi a huge great room and a lot of wood paneling. This house was seriously retro. In one of the corners of a huge room was this super old projection screen. (You know, the one with 3 colors). Suddenly the projection screen is down and for some reason I'm playing Super Metroid. Before I could play however I was subjected to some sort of selection process featuring Naomi Campbell who I kept calling the master space hunter. She had a really stoic face on and I felt briefly like I was about to get the shit smacked out of me. Suddenly the most recognizable Metroid theme came on from some unnamed source.

I then woke up with half a grin and mostly confused. I am now logging what I remember.

I am now realizing that this is an even more bizarre thing to be doing.

*Muffled sounds*
I have no mouth and I must scream!

I finally got up a new skin. It might be fairly evident that I got lazy, but I don't know why I'm just content with leaving this site as it is. Maybe even abandoning it. I mean it serves no purpose. On a whim I purchased the domain and got the site hosted. I had a cohort who was supposed to keep on writing but I doubt he's still interested. So I don't know what should be done?

Today is a Sunday that, eerily, I have experienced many times before. I'm re-watching (for the fourth time) The Storm of the century on SciFi Network (before you toss that shoe at me I support the channel and its legendary selection of terrible programming). It is cloudy and dark outside and I'm working on a bunch of websites. Since I'm still on break I clearly have nothing better to do.

It's a New Year and I hardly want to be back at the same place. But here I am. I'll figure it out later though. I need a break from this glowing (yet ever comforting), computer screen.
